What is included in the course?
You will have full access to A Sunset Sky From Start to Finish, the online art course featuring over 4 real time hours of pre-recorded video content. You will also receive a supply list and will also have the opportunity to ask questions through the online course platform.
WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED?
I will provide a suggested material list when you enroll in the course. In fact, an entire lesson is focused on materials so you'll know exactly what to pick up at your local art store! Materials are not included and for a good reason. I believe that building your own colour palette and finding the tools that best suite your style is an important part in developing your creative process. The material list I provide will be a great starting point but I want you to enjoy the freedom of mixing and matching what lights you up and experiment with colours that bring you joy.
How long is the course?
The course consists of 7 lessons and over 4 hours of real time videos. You can follow along as if we were painting in the same room or complete each lesson at your own pace. This is the benefit of taking an online course, you can always go back and revisit the course content as many times as you wish!
HOW LONG WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO THE COURSE?
You will have access to A Sunset Sky for one full year from the date you enroll in the course! This means you can really take your time and revisit lessons over and over again while you master your skills.
DO I NEED TO BE AN ARTIST TO TAKE THIS COURSE?
Yes, you will need basic oil painting knowledge for this course. If you are a newbie, then I recommend taking my course: An Introduction to Oils - The Essentials where I'll walk you through all of the essentials to getting started with oil paints, teach you all of my favourite materials as well as tips and tricks that I use to create my own art. It's a good starting point if you have never painted with oils before.
WILL I BE ABLE TO COMPLETE A PAINTING BY THE END?
Absolutely! I will be showing you every single step of my process and by the end of the course you will have your very own sunset sky painting! My only request is that you use this painting solely for your own learning and remember that as I reveal my painting process I also challenge you to create your own artwork and find your own artistic voice. This is an opportunity to learn my approach but then discover your own style, to tap into your own creativity, and fall in love with the journey of painting while establishing your own personal process. It's the greatest joy when you create something that feels so "you" and my goal is to help you get there.
