On June 8th, 2016, Stephanie Hoogveld and her three sisters hosted The Skies of Hope Gala and Art Auction in honour of their mother who passed away on June 8th, 2013 to Leukemia. The Sky Painters created 56 paintings inspired by the personal journeys of those that have been impacted by cancer. Each painting, created by Michelle and Stephanie Hoogveld, was a visual representation of hope. The aim was to bring inspiration through art. Together, The Sky Painters raised over $200,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC). All proceeds have been donated to the LLSC to fund blood cancer research, patient and family support, advocacy and public education.
